Q: How do you measure bandwidth usage?

A: We calculate your bandwidth usage based on the sustained data rate of your switch port.  For instance, if your server includes 1000 GB of data transfer, you can utilize up to 1000 GB of data transfer in either direction during each monthly period.  This is the equivalent of approximately 3.1 megabits per second sustained over the monthly period.

This method of billing allows you to burst up to the maximum speed of your switch port (commonly 10 or 100 Mbps) without being charged large overage fees because the top five percent of all bursts will be thrown out when we calculate your usage for the month.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  We also can accept PayPal for most transactions.

Q: Do you offer any prepayment discounts?

A: For most services, we can offer you a substantial discount if you prepay quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.  Please contact our sales team for more information.

Q: What control panels do you offer?

A: We currently specialize in Cpanel and DirectAdmin.  If you have the need for a different control panel, please contact us and we will try to accommodate you.

Q: How long has QuickPacket been in business?

A: We have been in business since June 2003.

Q: What is your policy on IP addresses?

A: We will assign your server five usable IP addresses when it is provisioned.  If you need additional IP addresses, we can accommodate you as long as you have justification for your current allocation, and a projection of utilization.  We strictly adhere all ARIN guidelines for IP address allocation, including RFC 2050.

Q: What types of content are permitted?

A: We allow all legal forms of content on your server.  We do not allow child pornography, warez, IRC, spam, terrorist or related sites or services on our network.  Any customer with content deemed by QuickPacket to be inappropriate or offensive will be suspended or terminated.  Please consult our Acceptable Usage Policy for more information.

Q: How much are daily backups?

A: We offer daily backups starting at just $5 per month.  Please see the Data Backup Services page for more information.

Q: What is your policy on technical support and reboots?

A: Manual reboots are provided at no charge unless they are deemed excessive.  Technical support is available for $70 per hour.

Q: How much is additional data transfer?

A: The rate for additional data transfer varies on each product.  For dedicated servers, the rate is $0.50 per gigabyte.  For co-located servers, rates start as low as $75 per megabit.  Please contact our sales team for an exact quote.
